Food :

I have failed in attempting to become a vegetarian, mainly because I am an avid rugby player and they won't accept me on the team without the inclusion of meat into my diet. The reason I chose to (and still wish to) become a vegetarian was not because I feel sorry for the animal, it is the natural order of things to eat meat, otherwise it would not be on this planet. The only reason i choose not to eat it is because the pens and forced feeding, the hormones and stimulants these animals are given, that is not natural.

This is not like judaism or islam (i.e. no pork). If it is food it should be eaten, that is why the universe has supplied it. But - if we were meant to eat extraordinarily fat cattle that move very little in their lifetime, then they would have been created as such.

Just my thoughts

  1. Why could you not eat organically-grown no hormone beef? It does occur. Go see a small family cow farmer and purchase a meat calf. Pay for the upkeep and the slaughter.

I agree. I like meat as much as the next person, but hormone antibiotic mass-pollution farming practices I can do without.

    Great blog. Keep it up!
